This is simple dc hat...I like to try new yarns. This was fun to do and will be fun for the kids at the schools to wear.
K hook
2 skeins of Thick and Thin JoAnn Sensations yarn (50 grams each skein) Bulky yarn with thin and thick parts to it.
Ch 7, sl st tog to make a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 13 dc in the center of ring. Sl st tog
Round 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in each stitch around. Sl st tog.
Round 3: Ch 3, do dc in first stitch and 2 dc in next stitch. Do this all the way around. Sl st tog.
Round 4: Ch 3, do dc, dc and then 2dc in next stitch. Do this all the way around. Sl st tog.
Round 5: Ch 3, dc around in every st. Sl st tog.
Round 6 -12: Repeat Round 5. Fasten off and weave in ends.
