scrap Simply Soft yarn
Ch 5, sl st tog to make a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 15 dc in ring. Sl st tog into the top of ch 3. (Count the ch 3 now and throughout as 1st dc)
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around.
Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 4: Ch 3, dc in same st, *dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Rounds 5-7: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Sl st tog.
Round 8: Ch 3, dc, sc all in the same st. *Skip 2 sts, 2 dc, sc all in next st. Repeat from * around. End with skip 1 st and 2dc, sc. Sl st tog.
Round 9: Sl st 2 sts over to the space between the groups of 2dc,sc from previous row. Ch 3, dc, sc in that space. *Go over to next space between and 2dc, sc in that space. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 10: Repeat Round 9.
Round 11: Sl st 2 sts over to the space between the groups of 2dc,sc from previous row. Ch 4, tr, hdc all in the space. * Go over to next space between and tr, tr, hdc in the space. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 12: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts. *Skip next st, dc in next 3 sts. Repeat from * around. End with dc by the starting ch 3. Sl st tog.
Round 13: Ch 3, dc in each st around.
Round 14: Ch 4, tr, hdc all in the space. *Skip 2 sts, tr, tr, hdc in the stitch. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 15: Sl st 2 sts over to the space between the groups of 2dc,sc from previous row. Ch 4, tr, hdc all in the space. * Go over to next space between and tr, tr, hdc in the space. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 16: Sl st 2 sts over to the space between the groups of 2dc,sc from previous row. Ch 4, tr, hdc all in the space. * Go over to next space between and tr, tr, hdc in the space. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog. Fasten off and weave in ends.
TURN INSIDE OUT for the look....the dc,dc,sc and tr,tr,hdc have a bubble look. To get this affect, you must turn the hat inside out.
