Special Pullover Sweater

If you post a picture somewhere else on the internet of an item that you have made from my patterns, please be kind to provide the direct link to my website.  Do not change names of my patterns.  I’ve worked hard on these patterns and changing the name does not change the pattern.  This is a copyrighted pattern.  Be respectful of that fact.

"I" hook

7 skeins (2.5 oz each) Lion Boucle "Parfait" Bulky yarn

This sweater starts with 2 large solid granny squares.  Then you sew the shoulder seams and the side seams.  From there you add the bottom and the arms.

Size: approx. 4

Measurements: 16" long from neck to bottom.  12" arm length.  13" across the front under the arms.

Solid Granny Square (Make 2):

Round 1: Ch 4, sl st tog.  Ch 3, 2dc, ch 2. *3dc, ch 2. Repeat from * 2 more times. Sl st tog.

Round 2: Sl st over a st, ch 3, dc in next st. Corner: 2dc, ch 2, 2dc. 2 dc on the side and make corner again. Follow pattern around. Sl st tog.

Round 3: Ch 3, dc in the sts on the side, make corner same as other round. Follow pattern around. Sl st tog.

Round 4-8: Repeat Round 3.

After you have both squares, lay them right sides tog and sc 2 1/2" of each shoulder seam.  Weave in all ends as you go. Note: do not tug on this yarn too hard.  It will pull apart.  Now sc 7" of each side seam.  Weave in ends. Turn squares right side out.

Bottom:

Round 1: Attach yarn to the bottom of the square with a sl st.  Now ch 3, dc in each st around the whole sweater. Sl st tog.

Round 2: Ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2dc in same st. *Skip 2 sts, 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.

Round 3: Sl st over to ch 2 space from previous round, in that space 2dc, ch2, 2dc. *Skip to next ch 2 space and do 2dc, ch2, 2dc. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.

Round 4-5: Repeat Round 3. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sleeve:

Round 1: Attach yarn to armhole, ch 3. Dc in each st around. Sl st tog.

Round 2: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Sl st tog.

Round 3-17: Repeat Round 2.

Round 18: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Sl st tog and fasten off.  Weave in all ends.

Repeat this process to other armhole.
