Purple Ping Pong Dress and shrug

I started using this pattern
I ended up changing the pattern to make the dress match the slip I had. I continued with the shell pattern and increased to make the bottom of the dress flair out.  Shaelynn is wearing a slip underneath. I used a H hook and Bernat's Ping Pong yarn. The Dollar Tree got this yarn in. It took 8 skeins of yarn.

If you post a picture somewhere else on the internet of an item that you have made from my patterns, please be kind to provide the direct link to my website.  Do not change names of my patterns.  I’ve worked hard on these patterns and changing the name does not change the pattern.  This is a copyrighted pattern.  Be respectful of that fact.

Purple Shrug
H hook and Bernat’s Ping Pong yarn 3 skeins approx.
Ch 85, Row 1: 2dc in 4th chain from the hook. *skip 2 sts, 2dc in next stitch, repeat from* across, ending with skip 1 chain and dc in the last st. Ch 3, turn. Row 2: *In the middle of the 2 dc from first row, do 2 dc. Repeat from * across, ending with a dc in the last st. Repeat Row 2 for a total of 12 Rows.
Fasten off and weave in ends. You will have a rectangle. I used my daughter’s arms as guides and sewed up the ends for the arms. This purple shrug has longer sleeves than the pink shrug does.
