Scrap worsted weight yarn
Round 1: Ch 18, sl st tog to make a ring.
Round 2: Ch 3, 23 dc around the chain, not into the stitches. Sl st tog.
Round 3: Sl st over 1 st. Ch 3, dc, ch2, 2dc in between the dc from the previous round. *Skip 3 dc from previous row, then 2dc, ch2, 2dc in between the dc from the previous round. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 4: Sl st over to the ch 2 sp from previous round, ch 3, dc, ch2, 2dc in that space. In the next ch 2 space, 2dc, ch 2, 2 dc (shell). Do 3 more shells. (total 5 shells) Turn.
Round 5: Repeat Round 4. Fasten off and weave in ends.
This slips over the pony's head starting at the ears and then it goes down. It's a little snug, but fits.
