Laced up Halter Top

approx. 2 small skeins of Cotton yarn like Sugar 'n Cream or Peaches and Cream

H hook

sizing: approx. 4/5 small girls

Bodice top:

Row 1: Ch 20, 2 hdc in 3rd ch from the hook.  Hdc in each st across.  2 hdc in last st.

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc across in each st. 2 hdc in last st. (Go through both loops of yarn)

Row 3-13: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off.

Bottom part:

Row 1: Ch 70, dc in 5th ch from hook. Cross back to 4th ch from hook and dc in that st.  *Skip next st, dc, then go back, cross over and dc in the skipped st. Repeat from *across.  End with dc in the last st.

Row 2: Ch 3, *skip next st, dc then go back and cross over and dc in skipped st. Repeat from * across.  End with dc in the last st. The crossed dc will coincide with each other.

Row 3-16: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off.

Now sew the top to the middle of the bottom.

Top Straps: Make 4

Ch 40, fasten off. 2 straps for center and 2 straps to the outside corners.  Sew onto to top.

Back Tie: Ch 70, fasten off.  Weave in through holes in back like a tennis shoe.  Then tie in a bow.
