"I" hook
5 skeins of LionBrand Incredible Ribbon yarn (I used 4 skeins and just a tiny bit off the 5th skein) I bought mine from our local Dollar Tree Store.
sizing: my daughter wears a 4/5
Ch 42.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in the next 4 chs, dc, ch1, dc in next ch, dc in next 6chs, dc, ch1, dc in next ch, dc in next 12 chs, dc, ch1,dc in next ch, dc in next 6chs, dc, ch1, dc in next ch, dc in last 6 chs.
Rows 2-8: Ch 2, turn, dc in each dc across (dc, ch1, dc) in each ch 1 sp.
Row 9: Ch 2, turn, dc in each st to ch 1 sp, dc in sp, ch 6, dc in next ch 1 sp then dc across to next ch 1 sp, dc in sp, ch 6, dc in next sp and dc across to the end. Join to ch 2. Armholes made and now you will be working in rounds.
Rounds 10- 12: Ch 2, dc in each dc around. Sl st tog.
Round 13: Ch 3, 2 dc, *skip first st, 3dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 14: Sl st first st, 3dc. *Skip to middle st of next 3dc group from previous round, 3dc. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Rounds 15- 26: Repeat Round 14.
Round 27: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Sl st tog, fasten off and weave in all ends.
Sleeves: Repeat to both sleeves.
Row 1: Attach yarn to corner under arm pit, ch 3, 1dc, ch 2, 2dc all in the same st. *Skip 1 st, 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next st. Repeat around to other side. Do not do stitches under arm. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Sl st over to ch 2 sp, 2dc, ch 2, 2dc. *Go to next ch 2 sp, 2dc, ch 2, 2dc. Repeat around. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Neckline:
Row 1: Attach yarn to back corner of neckline by the back V, Ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2dc all in the same st. *Skip 1 st, 2dc, ch 2, 2dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Sl st over to ch 2 sp, 2dc, ch 2, 2dc. *Go to next ch 2 sp, 2dc, ch 2, 2dc. Repeat around. Fasten off and weave in ends.
