G hook and scraps of Nylon yarn and approx. ½ skein of cotton yarn
Nylon yarn: Ch 4, sl st tog to make a ring. Row 1: Do 12 dc in ring, sl st tog and ch 3. Row 2: Do 4 dc in the same space as ch 3. Remove hook and put hook in the top st of ch 3. Put hook back into last dc and loop over and pull loop through. (Making a popcorn). *Ch 3, skip a st and do 5 dc in next stitch. Remove hook and put hook in the top st of ch 3. Put hook back into last dc and loop over and pull loop through. (Making a popcorn). Repeat from * all the way around. (6 popcorns total) Sl st tog, attach cotton yarn here and ch 3 with cotton yarn. *In the chain 3 space, do 5 dc. Repeat from * around. (6 groups of 5dc and the chain 3 starting is what you will have) Sl st tog at the top of the ch 3 st, ch 3. *2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts. Repeat from * around, sl st tog and ch 3. *2 dc in next st, then dc in next 3 sts. Repeat from * around, sl st tog and ch 3. *2 dc in next st, then dc in next 4 sts. Repeat from * around, sl st tog and *ch 3 and sc in next st. Repeat from * around to make a ruffled edging. Fasten off and weave in ends. Make sure you weave in nylon yarn really good or it can come apart after many washes.
